From revolution to revelation, Serenade and Leila take us into their discovery of place and selves, and the destiny for Egyptian women today.

biography

Sabreen Bint Loula was born in Djibouti. Following her studies at the University of Strasbourg in France, she began working in an association defending women against sexual mutilation. In 2000, she began working for Amnesty International. This film was made during her training in documentary filmmaking at the Atelier Varan in Paris.
