Laurent Billard was born March 18, 1956. He is a documentary filmmaker and producer and has worked with Claude Berri and Roman Polanski. He has directed many documentaries, notably the series Un certain regard du Sud, portraits of Mediterranean filmmakers including Elia Suleiman, Mohamed Malas, Mohamed Chouikh, Avi Mograbi, Yasmine Kassari, Nourri Bouzid, Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Koreige, as well as Jacques Demy, Amos Gitaï, Paul Carpita …
